Christmas Eve

One last blog before we all shut up shop and wrap the final presents for Christmas. I took my daughter to see ‘Pinkalicious‘ the Waterloo East Christmas show this afternoon. It was great fun and had some proper musical songs which made a nice change from some of the mediocre stuff children are often subjected to.
Waterloo East Theatre
My first outing to a show was at the tender age of six with my mum. No panto for us… straight to the big stuff. It was ‘Sweet Charity‘ at the Prince of Wales Theatre with Gretchen Weiler playing Charity. That’s when I fell in love with musical theatre watching that skilful Broadway lady in top hat and boa singing ‘If They Could See Me Now‘.
I haven’t been to Waterloo East since the ‘Being Sellers‘ show was on. Gerald Armin tells me it was a huge success in New York and I am looking forward to a proper catch up to hear all the juicy details. Waterloo East is where I was when I first started seriously blogging here so it is poetic that I should round off the year’s entries talking about it.
A year of many wonderful things… I do hope 2011 brings us all joy, excitement and snow shovels in all our Christmas stockings!
